Pretty Bird by Katherine Secaida

She expanded her wings to her nearest best
Because she felt as if she was nothing but less
She flew away from the dark shade before the lights fade to a darker shade
Tree is so high so she wondered how she’d fly
She’d fall but she’ll fly right back up with her broken wing
Until one day she fell, couldn’t fly
Wings so broken all she did was cry
Until another birdie came with new set of wings
So she could forget about her old dark wings
With those new set of wings all she has ever been
Was a pretty bird with a dark set of thin strings
That won’t weigh her down and every now
And then, all you’ll see is pretty bird with her new set of wings.
